Ali and her bridesmaids arranged to pick up buckets of flowers, already processed and hydrated by our shop, and then completed the centerpieces themselves.
The outdoor ceremony was held at the Blue Sky Lodge and dinner and drinks followed in an adjacent room to the patio and lobby area. Check out the pics of Blue Sky on our facebook page.[ blue sky lodge ]
Lime green, bright orange and a soft purple was the color scheme for this spring mountain wedding in Breckenridge.
Matching chair ties and napkins on all-white chair covers and table linens created a clean, fresh look.
Purple Allium, orange Mokara Orchids, and green Bells of Ireland were created by the wedding party and family perhaps. I'm not completely sure who got suckered, I mean volunteered to help. Actually I bet it's a very memorable, and fulfilling moment for friends and family to contribute, and help create the decor of the event.
Buttons were used in the table name signage (which just happened to be named after local ski runs at Breckenridge) and in individual names and corresponding tables. The imperial bowl is on peak 8, and is where Dina blew out her knee last spring. She came back strong and made a few turns towards the end of the season. If you have ever had to have your ACL replaced, you'll have lots to talk about with us.
The Allium were very tall, some almost three feet tall and definitely added height to the table, as you can see from this pic. The tall flowers were kept thin, so as not to block the other folks sitting on the other side of the table. Nobody wants to have to bend around the centerpiece to talk with the others at the table.
Cumquats were used to brighten up the centerpieces, and were filled over with water, so the flowers could drink. Including fresh fruit in clear glass vases is an easy option that DIY brides should defnitely consider.
Do you know where Upper Lehman is?
Mt. Baldy, still very much a snow-capped peak in May, just beyond the trees on the porch at the Blue Sky Lodge
Tall Cylinder vases were used in the ceremony arrangements, that we were contracted to create the day of the wedding, probably while the wedding party was out taking pics.
These vases were filled with Allium, Snapdragons, Mokara Orchids, Curly Willow and Bells of Ireland.
In the top right of this pic, you can see the snow-capped ridge line of the Williams Fork Range in the distance. That particular ridge connects with Ptarmigan, a mountain right next to Silverthorne. They don't call this Summit County for nothing! Majestic peaks everywhere you look.
Historic watering hole, the Gold Pan Saloon, was rented out by the couple for the evening. We thought this was a great idea. Do a shot with your best buds at one of the oldest bars in the west, and probably the oldest in Breck.[ gold pan saloon ]
A lively atmosphere and rustic character in the Gold Pan is created by the wood bar and all the games. There's the standards, pool, foos, and some video games, but be sure to check out the simple, but addicting, ring on a string that you try to catch on a hook. A low-key place to party with the fam, the Gold Pan is full of history. Now it's your turn to create your own history and then you'll understand the real gold at your wedding is your family and friends.
