Breckenridge Wedding Reception at the Mountain Thunder Lodge

This bridal bouquet is using one of the hottest wedding trends of 2010, and that is TEXTURE.

Purple and orange Orchids, orange Calla Lilies, Lily Grass, green Hypericum Berry, and green Button Mums.

One of the possible wedding reception venues is the Mountain Thunder Lodge in Breckenridge. This facility is maintained by Vail Resorts and is located directly across from the Breckenridge Ski Resort's Gondola.

A lobby seating area is transformed into a cocktail / meeting area before guests are directed to a room that will be used for the reception and dinner.

Elements of mountain wedding decor for this wedding included using different heights of cylinder vases with partially submerged Orchids, with river rock in the bottom of the vases.

Extra river rock was spread out on the tables, along with votive candles. The head table had a heavier concentration of rock and even had some orchids put along the front edge where the bouquets would eventually be placed.

This is the reception / dining room. A dance floor is placed in the middle of the room, and a ski run is visible out the window. The ski area and gondola shut down during the evening hours.
