Aspens Changing Colors + 30% OFF Aspen Jewelry

photos by Stacy Sanchez
Aspens changing colors, weather forecasts changing from rain and thunder to including possible snow flurries. The seasons remind us that time is passing and that not all things last forever. This week is the last week of the majority of our summer wedding work. We still try to find time to hit the trails for a quick walk, and I try to take the camera wherever I go.
Mention you saw the aspen blog and receive 30% off our Aspen Jewelry in the store. Real Aspen necklaces, earrings and even gold-dipped ornaments, great for hanging on Christmas trees. It's not too early to start shopping.

Brandi + Ben // The Maggie, Breckenridge, Colorado

photos courtesy of Colorado Visions

This bridal bouquet was created using roses, delphinium, and gerbera daisies.

The Maggie will be undergoing changes next summer, and will not be used for weddings. Please contact Cat Ambrose for more information on wedding locations utitlizing Vail Resorts.
"The Maggie will not be available for summer weddings in 2010 due to a large scale renovation project. Please excuse us while we make Breckenridge a little more perfect." So, all weddings in Breckenridge need to consider either Ten Mile Station, or Sevens which is in the new Grand Lodge on Peak 7.

Probably the cutest ring bearer this summer!

The bright, soft colors of the bridesmaid bouquets stood out against the dark blue dresses and even matched the flower girl dress and light blue of the sashes.

The very happy groom with a nice boutonierre to match the flower decor of the day.

A unique way to display guests names. Very appropriate for a wedding in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado!

Leadville Wedding // Doc Holliday's wedding reception

bridal bouquet
Now, I need to get more pics from this unique mountain wedding, but these will have to do for now. But, I heard that the ol' Wild West theme was present through badges instead of boutonierres, and other personal touches. This was to be a DIY pick up, but after realizing that the car would not hold all the flowers, we offered an emergency flower delivery to Leadville for them.
"Doc Holliday was a gambler, vagabond, gentleman, gunfighter and sometimes a cold killer."

This is but "one of Leadville's incredible historic buildings. This saloon, built in the early 1880's, was home of John Henry "Doc" Holliday and his last gunfight. Holliday, a Southern gentleman dentist turned gambler and gunfighter, shot and wounded former Leadville Sheriff, Billy allen, in 1884 over a $5 loan. In the past century, the Hyman building has been home to numerous characters and businesses."

A rental tent was brought in and put next to Doc Hollidays and the Tabor Opera House.

Ask us how we can help set up a tent rental for your wedding or event.

I noticed the flag flying over Doc Holliday's. Maybe it was due to that pirate day a few days ago.

"Matthew and Ann Slevin bought the building in 2007 and spent a year remodeling and renovating the building to restore it, as much as possible, to its original character."
Looks like the Tabor Opera House hosts weddings as well. "Built in 1879, the Tabor Opera House was acclaimed "the largest and best, West of the Mississippi!"Today, the Tabor Opera House proudly stands as one of Colorado's premiere historical locations in beautiful Leadville. Restoration plans are moving forward, and this historical jewel will "sparkle" again soon."

This painted welcome reminds you how great the high life in Leadville is.

Vail Wedding // Reception at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon, Colorado

This mountain bride chose to have her bouquet to be filled with green hypericum, dark maroon dahlias, orange mokara orchids, orange protea, gerbera daisies, and calla lilies.

The wedding ceremony was held in Vail, at the "Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, which is the highest public botanic garden in North America. The combination of beautiful colors and incredible rugged beauty of the Gore Range Mountains in the background make this a very special location."

next to a huge green grass lawn, you find the entrance to the ceremony location

A nice water feature creates the sound of splashing water, and tall cylinder vases filled with river rock were topped off with lilies, gladioli, and snapdragons.

Beaver Creek is the dramatic backdrop for the Westin, here you can see the mountain through the huge lobby windows. And we noticed a bunch of dogs, so it must be a fur-friendly place.

Dark brown table clothes helped bring out the colors in these bouquets

Welcome table arrangement. I took this pic before it was placed on a table with a dark table cloth.

The reception room begins to take shape...

Just outside the reception room, is a nice patio next to the pool, which is just to the left out of the frame.

Have a special furry friend? Custom Dog Collars available!

"Hi there - thanks so much for posting such great photos on the Blog from Kathryn & Stephen's wedding. I thought you might want to see how nice the "collar" worked for Lillabit (Greater Swiss Mountain Dog).

Everything came out so nice (my mother's glowers are still on the table in water and still look great)

Thanks again for everything - the wedding was FANTASTIC." - Alison Burns
