Elk Ridge Ranch Wedding

I didn't expect to be shoveling at a wedding in September, but hey, that's part of the adventure of having your wedding in the mountains. Be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best! This bridal bouquet was filled with roses, two different kinds of colors and varieties of orchids, calla lilies, and greens.

Dina and Sara perform another on-the-spot-custom creation for a unique fall-themed ceremony centerpiece that consisted of curly willow, fall leaves, bright orange orchids, matching copper wire, and various beads and jewelry that coordinated with the manzanita table centerpieces.

Mt. Lincoln and Bross are part of a group of four 14'ers known as the "4-in-1" as you can "summit" four 14,000 ft. peaks in one semi-long day. Now, technically you're supposed to hike over 3000' for each peak to count, but hey, who's keepin' track? Be sure to check with the locals to find out if this area is available for hiking, as it was closed in years past by private property owners with mining claims all over the peaks.

There's an outdoor hottub, just down to the left of the folks on the deck. There's also a little outdoor bar on the lower level that can be used during the wedding or for cocktail hour before dinner.

Jamie puts the finishing touches on the table centerpieces while I start to arrange the chairs after turning on the LED votive lights in the lanterns that Rick and I had hung the day prior.

Table centerpieces held hanging LED votive lights as well as had more copper wire, fall leaves and orchids attached to create a nice fall look, especially with dark linens helping create the atmosphere.

I was a little concerned with the strong gusty mountain winds as we hung the lanterns, but they were solid, and didn't move much, but just a gentle sway. The LED votives were still working two days after the wedding when I came to take down the lanterns.

The tent just to the side of the house, this where the lanterns were hung and the reception can take place. There's an outside deck just to the right of the tent and has the backdrop of the mountains.

Who wouldn't want to get married at this gorgeous location? We're just happy the bride had an awesome day to celebrate after a few cold days. Please contact us if you would like help planning your Elk Ridge Ranch wedding.
